Terms of Sale and Use

These terms cover buying and using PapAgent, a Mac application. By installing or buying it, you agree to them.

Trial

PapAgent is free to evaluate for 7 days, with every feature unlocked. The trial starts the first time the app runs and is tied to your Mac; it cannot be restarted on the same machine. No account or payment details are required.

What you are buying

A license is a one-time purchase of US$59 that grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use PapAgent on one Mac at a time. It includes:

• Every feature — there are no tiers or add-ons.
• All updates released within one year of purchase.
• The right to keep using the last version you received, forever, even if you never renew.

After the first year, continuing to receive new updates is optional and renews at 50% of the then-current price. Not renewing never disables the software you already have.

Moving to another Mac

You may move your license between machines. Deactivate it on the old Mac from Settings → License, then activate on the new one. If the old Mac is lost or broken, email hello@papagent.com and we will release the seat.

What you may not do

• Share, resell, sublicense or publish your license key.
• Circumvent the license check, or use a key you did not buy.
• Use the software where its failure could cause death, injury, or severe damage.

We may revoke a license key that is publicly shared or obtained fraudulently, or one whose payment was refunded or charged back.

AI providers and your content

PapAgent drives AI command-line tools that you install and authenticate yourself. Your prompts, code and their responses are governed by those providers' own terms. You are responsible for what you send them, for the cost of their usage, and for reviewing the code they produce before you rely on it.

You keep all rights to your own content. We claim nothing in it and cannot access it.

Autonomous agents

PapAgent can run AI agents that modify files, execute shell commands and change git state on your machine, in some modes without asking first. You are responsible for choosing which permissions to grant and for keeping backups. Use version control.

No warranty

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the software is limited to the amount you paid for your license.

Changes

We may update these terms. Changes apply from the date shown above and never retroactively remove rights to a license you have already bought. Material changes will be noted on this page.

Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.
